Anderson Farm Pumpkin Patch

So I know it has been FOREVER since I have blogged anything. We went home to Kansas this summer and I just kind of got out of the habit and never got back in! We went out to a pumpkin patch this past weekend and I took some photos that I wanted to share so I thought I might as well put them on the blog! The Anderson's are a family here in town and they have three daughters. Rem has had the girls in youth group and has also been their track coach. A few years ago, they decided they wanted to start a pumpkin patch business on their farm and that's how Anderson Farm Pumpkin Patch came into existence. We have said every year since Gav was little that we were going to go out there but Rem is always in the middle of harvest and so we have never made it. This year, I decided we were going for sure and we actually got lucky and got a little rain so Rem was out of the field for the weekend so we took the opportunity to go out to the farm. I absolutely love when you can give your business to local people and I think it's awesome that these girls have started a business for themselves! When we got to the farm we were greeted by Grace (the youngest) and a group of her middle school aged friends. They loaded us up onto a hay wagon pulled by a four wheeler and took us out to the corn maze. Gavin really loved the maze and ran around like a crazy man! We then got to go to the pumpkin patch and found some really great pumpkins! There is just something really fun about hunting for the perfect one! We headed back up to the barn after picking our pumpkins and the boys had fun playing with the dog, feeding the goats, and playing on the hay bales while Rem chatted with Jason (the girls' dad) about triathlons. It was a really fun afternoon with our little fam!
